How to be more spontaneous and liberate the inner you

spontaneous.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

Hypnotherapy can help you reconnect with your intuition

Wouldn't it be great to be more spontaneous and free in life?

To break out of dull dreary trudging along 'doing what's expected'?

The first rule of life is: Survive!

That's obvious, of course, but we often completely overlook just how much this fundamental rule dictates what we do, or think we can do. To survive among other people, you do have to get along with them. This means you have to learn, and abide by, the social 'rules' that prevail around you. These rules come from your family and the society you live in. Some are set in laws, and some are unspoken conventions.

It's not necessarily a bad thing to have 'rules' about what you can and can't say, what you can and can't do.

Too much living by rules can stifle spontaneity

Life's easier when everybody knows what's expected of them, when we all know how to get along without upsetting others too much. But we can give too much importance to following rules. When this happens, we quash our natural responses and enthusiasms. We never allow ourselves to follow an impulse or do anything 'wild'. We can't risk being creative, for fear of some kind of social or family disapproval.

And that's when life can turn dull, dull, dull. Nothing but ticking the right boxes to be whatever happens to be considered 'good' in your particular social setting. It takes all the fun and adventure out of life. It becomes hard to motivate yourself about anything, because it feels like you can never do anything new or interesting.

But it doesn't have to be like that!

Hypnotherapy can help you rediscover your natural creativity in life

A Hypnotherapy session will reconnect you with your natural instincts and creativity and reignite the spark of your life.

As you relax and listen , you'll find that you

  • feel a tremendous surge of freedom welling up inside

  • become hugely curious to know where this will lead you

  • reconnect with your deepest instincts and impulses

  • start to trust your intuitive creative self more and more

  • find yourself trying new things and feeling much more engaged with life

  • enjoy life a whole lot more!

Ready To Change ?? .. Why See A Holistic Hypnotherapist?

hypnotherapy.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

Why does change, at times, seem so difficult?

Why can’t we just make up our minds to change patterns of behaviours, thoughts, and emotions and have it happen that quickly?

The ‘Holy Grail’ of change work, (whether it be self-help, or through utilizing a coach or therapist, can rectify years of habitual behaviour patterns in a few short sessions..

Oh, and while we’re at it let’s make those moments comfortable and relaxing.

Let’s look for a moment at a possible reason why change doesn’t always occur that easily (in fact rarely) and why holistic hypnotherapy might be a possible candidate for that Grail.

Your entire magnificent body/mind system sails through life performing an astronomical number of simultaneous tasks. Barring emergencies, your heart never stops beating, your lungs never stop operating, you metabolize the food you eat, and maintain a body temperature of 98.6 regardless of your environment.

And, that is just a tip of the physiological iceberg of ongoing vital functions. Yet you only become aware of these processes if there is a problem. Otherwise they thankfully require no attention. These processes are part of your vast ‘unconscious’.

Included in this ever ongoing party of physiological processes beneath your awareness, or consciousness, are all of your brain’s functions, including language, proprioception (sense of your body and it’s position), emotional responses, etc., etc. There is, of course, no clear dividing line between physical and mental processes, and we are blissfully unaware of the overwhelmingly vast majority of them.

Now, specifically regarding behaviours. Most of our behaviours seem to be picked up unconsciously from our environment. Perhaps we are born with the tendency toward some behaviours, the jury is still out on that regard, but whether nature or nurture, the acquisition of behaviour is predominantly unconscious.

How many times, as we mature, do we marvel at how much our behaviours (particularly speech patterns) resemble our parent’s patterns, often in spite of our best efforts. These are behaviours we unconsciously picked up from our environment as we developed.

What then, is our conscious mind, and what is it’s scope? What’s left?

Research has repeatedly shown that we can generally only be aware of, or conscious of, seven plus or minus two pieces of information at any one time.

As glorious as our conscious mind is, it is so severely limited in the volume of information it can handle, that, in most cases, it is unable to have much of an effect on our overall behaviour.

Our conscious mind can manage momentary adjustments of behaviour at best. In fact, I suggest that the main purpose of the conscious mind is to handle the necessary small bits of information we receive just until we can process them into our much more able ‘unconscious mind’.

Think about how we learn new things.

Take riding a bike, for example. At first, when we climb on that wobbly two wheeled device, we have more things to attend to than we could possibly consciously handle—balance, speed, avoiding oncoming obstacles, and so on.

We end up falling down a lot. However, we keep at it, and one day, success! We can climb on the bike and ride, virtually without a conscious thought about balance, speed, avoiding obstacles, and all of those other innumerable matters connected with bike riding.

We say we’ve learned to ride a bike. What we mean is, riding a bike is now an unconscious behaviour, and our conscious mind is free to think of other things while we ride.

Once we learn something, once it becomes accepted as an unconscious behaviour, it usually stays with us for life. That’s a wonderful thing for habits like bike riding and learning to read.

It sometimes becomes a bit of a problem when we have learned behaviours like smoking or phobic responses. It seems as though, once a behaviour is learned, we unconsciously assign a value to it (we did, after all, work hard to learn to smoke for whatever reason we had at the time). To later try to change that learned habit challenges those initial reasons and values, and seems to violate the integrity of the unconscious.

Trying to consciously change a habit, like smoking, is like trying to swim upstream against an overwhelming current. With smoking, in my experience, the habit is much more difficult to break than the chemical addiction.

Hypnotherapy to the rescue.

There is one method of interpersonal communication that does allow access to the normally unavailable unconscious processes, and that method is hypnosis.

Hypnosis simply creates a doorway to the unconscious part of our mind. A qualified hypnotist can establish communication with the part of your unconscious mind that maintains the habitual behaviour you want to change.

Sometimes through simple suggestion (new information) and sometimes through a more complex conversation with that unconscious part of your mind/body that controls the problematic habit, a hypnotherapist can literally change the course of that mighty unconscious river. Once that occurs, change results as easily as floating downstream on a sun-drenched inner tube.

Holistic Hypnotherapy is the customised use of Hypnosis coupled with REBT, NLP & Neuroplasticy & other Techniques by a qualified therapist .. is that “Holy Grail” of personal change.

And you don’t get much more qualified than Kimberley !! :)

energy-boost-without-caffeine.jpg

Use Hypnotherapy for an energy boost that is safe, natural and steady

Do you sometimes need a quick, reliable injection of extra energy?

Would you prefer a natural energy booster to get you going when you need it?

Then consider using hypnosis for energy that is natural and lasting.

Why everybody sometimes needs a quick source of energy

We all run into times in life when what we need is a quick lift to carry us through. You may need to meet an urgent deadline, you may have something important to do when you're feeling a bit under the weather, you may just be trying to help a friend in need when you have a lot on your own plate - it could be anything.

And what's the quickest, most effective way to give yourself a metaphorical 'shot in the arm' of powerful, uplifting energy that will help you stay the course? Without any nasty side effects?

Hypnotherapy is a highly effective natural energy booster

Whenever you need some more 'oomph' to see you through, take some time out, and let yourself experience

  • a great wave of relaxation refreshing your whole body

  • what it's like to connect with the deep sources of power and energy within you

  • multi-sensory awareness of energetic forces passing through and around you

  • actively 'powering up' your reserves

  • getting up and getting on with it!

Put the Spark Back Into Your Relationship and Re-ignite the Passion

spark relationship.png

Re-discover what's special in your relationship using relaxing, gentle hypnosis

There's nothing like being in love. It's the most entrancing thing in the world - you have eyes for no one but each other and your thoughts are filled with the one you love.

You can't wait to be together and when you are together, it's as if a powerful magnet is pulling you ever closer. Surely there can be no greater happiness than to be with this person for ever and ever?

What happens when the first flush of love passes

But after you've been together for a while, you start to notice that the overwhelming nature of your love seems to have waned. You still love your partner and are still committed but a sameness can creep in.

Maybe you find those enchanting little 'quirks' starting to grate or the everyday grind and external pressures conspire to pull you out of your private little world of love. You begin to wonder where the spark has gone.

Cool times for once 'hot' relationships can be scary

It's easy to panic at this stage of a relationship. In the early heady days of first love, you feel like you and your partner can conquer anything with the power of your love.

You feel as if you could never tire of each other's company. So when dull days dawn, and rows reverberate, and you wonder whatever happened to intimacy and sex, it can feel as if the world is falling. Have you made a dreadful mistake? Is it 'the end'?

Misplaced expectations about love lead to disappointment

Two major problems affect relationships.  The first is the unrealistic expectations we have of them. Some of that is natural to 'being in love'.

It puts you on a high where you easily believe that you will always be able to keep the spark going in your relationship, because you love each other so much. But some of it comes from what we are fed about relationships by the romantic movies we watch or the books we read.

Good relationships need good 'gardeners' of love

The second difficulty in keeping relationships rewarding, satisfying and fun is that we often don't do enough 'gardening'.  We leave the relationship to 'take care of itself'.

And any gardener will tell you that a garden left to itself will look lovely for a while and will then gradually deteriorate into a tangle of weeds and scrub. A place you wouldn't want to spend any time.

But just how do you set about 'cultivating' your relationship, ensuring that the flowers of love continue to bloom?

How hypnotherapy can help you put the spark back in your relationship

Hypnotherapy For Motivation – Getting The Drive Back!

motivation.jpg

Motivation is the key to positivity in our lives. If we were not motivated enough, we would just not have the will in us to go about our daily lives.

Its motivation that helps us get through the most mundane things – motivation for working harder, motivation to have a healthy relationship, motivation to earn more, motivation to have a happy family. And yet sometimes we find ourselves lacking in motivation; I think we have all had days when getting out of bed to get ready to go to work seemed like a Herculean task. Sometimes lack of motivation can really bring people down, and hinder their efficiency and ability. This may lead to frustrations and further breakdown of communication between people. However, if you intercept this lack of motivation timely, you have help at hand. Go for hypnotherapy for motivation to get the zest in life back.

Hypnotherapy is intrinsically related to the concept of motivation, and can help you in every walk of life. From motivation in sports, to business; from quitting smoking to losing weight, hypnotherapy for motivation could help you out. But here’s the catch: you can think of successfully motivating yourself only once you have your goals identified. Identification of a goal is very necessary before you start motivating yourself. Motivation is all about helping you realize your true potential, sometimes this potential gets thwarted by certain experiences in our lives. Hypnotherapy for motivation works towards removing those mental blockages by connecting with your subconscious.

Hypnotherapy is based on the formula of auto suggestion, and it works on deeper levels than one can imagine. Hypnotherapy for motivation converses with your subconscious mind, and urges it to alter self-perception and self – image. Unknown to us, our subconscious is largely responsible for the way we think and react; if we train it to think on a different line, no doubt the accompanying behaviour would change too. It understands the true potential that lies within us, and taps into it. Through gentle affirmations such as “I can do it”, it retrains your mind into believing that nothing is impossible.

I have helped clients deal with a variety of issues through hypnotherapy for motivation. Some wanted to perform better at work, while others needed motivation to keep a relationship going. Some wanted to perform better at sports, while others at studies. The underlying theory of hypnotherapy is based on motivation, and we need it in every walk of life. However, we need to have our goals clear in our minds for the hypnotherapy to be successful. Hypnotherapy for motivation lets you focus on the particular task at hand, however if the task is undefined, hypnotherapy will be rendered ineffective.

Hypnotherapy for motivation can seem to be too simple a solution for these problems; however you will be surprised at their effectiveness. Once you started this journey of self discovery, you will see the changes in a short time. Through altering self-perception and self-image, hypnotherapy gives you a whole new view of the world. From being a procrastinating person, you can go on to become a self starter. So define your goals now, and dive into the vast sea of your subconscious mind through hypnotherapy. The pearls you will find there will take care of every situation and possibility in life. Happy Self Discovery!

How to Moderate Your Drinking

moderate-drinking.jpg

Use hypnotherapy to stop drinking too much

Do you often find yourself drinking more than you are happy with?

Is it hard to resist the idea of "just one more"?

Millions of people never touch a drop of alcohol and don't think anything of it. 'Drink' is just not part of their lives. And, of course, none of us were born drinkers (of anything but mother's milk, that is).

We may like a drop, as the Brits say, but there is no hard and fast, unbreakable rule that says you have to drink in order to have a good life, or in order to be happy, or even in order to not be unhappy.

So how annoying, frustrating and oh so painfully disappointing it is when you find yourself - not again! - coming home from an outing with friends knowing you've drunk far too much. And much more than you really wanted to.

You probably even said to yourself beforehand, "I'm going to have two beers, and then I'm switching to soft drinks." Or, "I'll have three glasses, max, and that's it." And you really meant it.

What happened? Where did it go wrong?

How excessive drinking gets a hold on you

Well, you can stop beating yourself up about it. It wasn't something specific that you did.

You drink too much because you get so focused on the present moment (and extending it) that you lose awareness of the future - with its consequences. It's a kind of 'negative trance'. There is only now... and now... and now... And you only remember tomorrow when it arrives.

Now here's the good news.

You can overcome the 'negative trance' with an even more powerful 'positive trance' that will keep the perspective of your life in sharp focus for you.

How Hypnotherapy can help you establish healthy drinking patterns

How to establish a beneficial positive trance around controlled drinking. It works at the subconscious level to make alcohol increasingly less important to you and to enhance your ability to take the long view.

As you relax and listen , you'll notice that:

  • Alcohol is just less and less important to you

  • Meals, conversations, party occasions and other events seem so much more vivid and enjoyable

  • You are often surprised to see that your glass is untouched

  • You have regular 'days off' and thoroughly enjoy them

  • You enjoy having a greater sense of self control and achievement.

Hypnotherapy For Relationships – Improving The Quality Of Life

Relationship-Attracting-Love-480.jpg

Human beings are social creatures; in our day to day lives we are constantly meeting and interacting with people, and creating relationships with them.

Fathers, mother, sibling, friend, lover, co-worker, subordinate – These are just a few examples of relationships which are common to people across the globe. While some of us are really good with maintaining these relationships, others have room for improvement. It is a fact that not all our relationships can be called successful, some might be disconcerting and dissatisfying while yet others could be downright disastrous.

We all realise at some point in time that we need to review our own attitudes towards our relationships; while we might start out with noble intentions of bringing about positive change, we might not always succeed. An external intervention, something which can guide you through the trials and tribulations of a relationship can help a great deal. Hypnotherapy for relationships is one such intervention, and it has proven to be really effective time and time again.

Relationships are what our lives are made of, and happy relationships make for a happy and satisfied life. But this satisfaction eludes us frequently when we fail to carry through a relationship. Possessiveness, insecurity, communication barriers, ego hassles, overdependence, and infidelity are some of the problems which can arise in the relationships we share with other people.

How could Hypnotherapy for relationships help you address these issues?

It all starts with a simple thought. By realising that there is room for improvement in your relationship, you have already taken the first step towards making it better. Hypnotherapy for relationships basically targets the way you think, and your perception of other people. It works towards redesigning your attitude, because it is your attitude towards people that makes the most amount of difference.

Once you have started work on your subconscious mind, through the route of Hypnotherapy for relationships, you will find yourself to become calmer and relaxed. Hypnotherapy teaches you to be more stable in your responses, as it smoothens out the rough edges from your reactions. Let’s say that you chose hypnotherapy for relationships to deal with the problem of insecurity in your relationship; through auto suggestions to your subconscious mind, hypnotherapy will work towards increasing your confidence and changing your self image.

It will also work upon your phobias and fear, and replace it with positive thinking. Once you start experiencing a change in yourself, you will notice that your partner/companion is also reacting to you in a more positive fashion. This is because you have altered your perspective, and now have the ability to empathize with the other person; it also means that hypnotherapy has helped you in becoming more relaxed. Your partner can sense this, and subconsciously will react to this change in a favourable manner.

Hypnotherapy for relationships can help you communicate better, and effective communication is the key to any successful relationship, isn’t it?

If you feel that Hypnotherapy can help you then,

Please contact Kimberley if you have any questions or to make an initial CONSULTATION.

How to Overcome Anticipatory Anxiety

a anxiety.jpg

Calm down your worries about future events with Hypnotherapy

Is most of your worrying just anticipatory anxiety about the future, rather than concerns about what's actually going on now?

Do you get eaten up with dread about upcoming events and how they will turn out?

Your ability to imagine a goal in life, and to work out detailed plans to deal with obstacles, is a truly valuable resource. Deciding what you'll do if things go wrong is key to effective planning. It would be downright silly to assume everything will always go smoothly. Flights will be delayed, rain will fall on garden parties, people will forget what they were going to say, tomato sauce will get spilled over you...

It happens to everyone.

Too much thinking leads to anticipatory anxiety

The trouble is, when you spend too much time thinking too closely about everything that could go wrong, the famous mind-body connection goes into overdrive. Your worrying thoughts can trigger the actual physical emotions that would accompany those unfortunate events. Your heart rate rises, adrenaline floods into your bloodstream, and your body gets ready to face what it believes is a real and present danger.

When really it's all in your imagination.

Now obviously, it doesn't make sense to say you should just stop preparing for future events, and planning for negative eventualities, altogether. That would be likely to bring you some perfectly real (as opposed to imaginary!) difficulties.

What's needed is a way to think about eventualities (good or bad) calmly. A way to calm down any emotional response that gets triggered, so you can stay detached, make sensible plans, and then get on with your life.

And Hypnotherapy is a brilliant way for you to do just that.

Hypnosis can help you calm down unnecessary fears

  • find yourself becoming much more relaxed about life in general

  • learn how to take command of your emotional responses

  • become more and more skilled at calming and quieting troubling thoughts

  • are no longer at the mercy of unpleasant emotions

  • can think much more clearly and effectively about helpful ways to prepare for upcoming events

  • enjoy life so much more.

If You feel that Hypnotherapy can help you overcome your Anxiety, then

Please contact Me if you have any questions or to make an initial CONSULTATION.

Cure Phobias With Hypnotherapy

46971280-scared-word-cloud.jpg

A phobia is an irrational, persistent fear of a certain object or situation. There are several different forms of a phobia. A phobia can be a fear of something specific such as flying or a social phobia which causes an individual to feel anxiety about a social situation. Examples of a specific phobia may involve a fear of small animals, closed in spaces and snakes. Social phobias would be a fear of giving a speech, talking to the boss or meeting new people.

It is estimated that over five percent of the population has one or more clinically diagnosed phobias. A phobia usually begins in childhood and continues into adulthood. Some phobias, if left untreated, can debilitate a person. For example someone with agoraphobia, a fear of the outside world, is unable to leave their house. It is important to deal with a phobia head on in order to rid yourself of your fear. Hypnosis is a proven method to cure phobias.

Hypnosis is a process that introduces positive suggestions into the subconscious mind of an individual. A deep state of relaxation is induced in which the subconscious mind is the most receptive to new perspectives and ideas. As the positive perspectives and ideas are introduced the client, undergoing hypnosis, will receive motivational encouragement, confidence building statements and a direct plan for curing a phobia.

The new ideas that are introduced into the subconscious mind cause a person to form healthier beliefs, values and habitual thinking patterns. An individual no longer has to live with their phobia. A phobia takes control of a person’s life. Regain the control back by using hypnosis to cure phobias.

An individual who has undergone hypnosis will experience other additional health benefits. Clients have found that hypnosis calms the nerves, the mind and the entire body. Hypnosis releases stress and alleviates anxiety. The positive ideas and perspectives that an individual receives build self esteem and boost confidence. Hypnosis has a positive effect on every aspect of a person’s life. This is a safe, gentle and positive process that can be used by both teenagers and adults.

Stop living in fear. Hypnosis has the power to cure your phobia. If you want to rid yourself of your phobia and you think that Hypnotherapy will help you then

Develop Powerful Unconscious Drive to Reach Your Goals

Copy of Untitled (1).png

How to use hypnotherapy to make sure you achieve the goals you set yourself

How often have you set a new goal and felt 'this is the one!', only to look back a few weeks or months later and wonder where all that motivation went?

It's exciting when you first decide to pursue a new goal. But the excitement can soon fade as the hard work of pursuing your goal kicks in.

Of course we all know that nothing worthwhile comes without work, but somehow the initial compulsion to achieve a goal can be incredibly hard to recapture once the initial glow has faded.

It's the tortoise that wins the race

We live in an 'instant world'. Instant emails, text messages, food and instant fame and fortune - or so it seems when we don't see the hard work that got celebrities where they are today.

We worship speed, instant solutions, fast track lives but the people who really make it big are the ones who can see through all that. They know that dogged determination, even when it feels thankless, is the way to goal success and ambition fulfilment.

Keep your passion burning

Maybe you've been wondering whether it's even right to follow your goal if it doesn't feel as exciting now. Maybe you've started making excuses to yourself in case you fail, or you can't really recall why you were so excited in the first place.

Well hang on a moment! Remember you had good reasons to follow your goals at the time and you need to recall those reasons not just logically but with your heart and your feelings.

Stay loyal to your goals even when it feels thankless and you will get the right reward at the right time.

Expecting to be 'paid' before the job is properly done (even if it's emotional 'payment') doesn't work. Your reward will come as a by-product of being able to work hard even when there is no instant reward. That will build something valuable in you and of course you'll gain the satisfaction and other rewards from actually achieving your goals.

How hypnotherapy can help you reach your goals

There's one thing you may be missing when you're wondering where all that motivation went.

The fact that it was there to start with.

And that's powerful resource that we can utilise with hypnosis.

Because at the time of perfect focus, motivation and drive, your entire mind/body was aligned to achieving that goal. You knew why you wanted to do it, why you should do it, and more importantly, you wanted to do it.

Your motivation was powerful enough to sweep away any obstacle in your path.

With hypnosis we can use 'revivification', which is a technique whereby you go back to that initial feeling and bring it into the present.

A Hypnotherapy session re-primes your unconscious mind with that determination, so you recharge your motivation battery to get you driving towards your goal again.

If you feel that a Hypnotherapy session would help you in achieving your Goals then

Please contact Me. If you have any questions or to make an initial CONSULTATION.
